As part of our CARE approach, the Sphering Group is actively developing our teams’ awareness of climate challenges. In March 2026, several sessions of the immersive “2 tonnes” workshop were successfully deployed across our various French sites.
These 3-hour sessions brought together employees from all backgrounds to take on a major challenge: co-creating a transition scenario to reach the historic target of 2 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per person per year by 2050.
Moving away from long theoretical presentations, the workshop was built around a serious simulation game. Working in small groups, participants were able to:
- Measure the real carbon impact of their daily habits (transport, food, housing…)
- Choose individual actions
- Debate and invest in large-scale collective levers and public policies, acting as a Council of Ministers or a National Assembly
Beyond personal choices, participants also explored how everyone can take direct action at their own level within their work environment.
The key takeaway from these workshops? There is no silver bullet, but rather an essential complementarity between sobriety, efficiency, and substitution.
Because the ecological transition is first and foremost a collective competence, a huge thank you to all the employees who took part in this positive dynamic with enthusiasm and kindness!
